HIV 1 + 2 Cassette (Whole Blood) is a rapid chromatrographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibody to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Type 1 and/or Type 2, in whole blood, serum or plasma.

Clean the area to be lanced with the alcohol prep pad.
Squeeze the fingertip and pierce it with the sterile lancet.
Wipe away the first drop of blood with sterile gauze or cotton.
Using a disposable pipette, collect blood fromt he puncture site. The whole blood may be used for testing immedicately or may be stored at 2 – 8 0C for two days. Specimens that have been refrigerated must be equilibrated to room temperature before testing.
