- Wash and dry your hands before testing.
- Insert a test strip into the meter.
- Use a lancet to obtain a small drop of blood from your fingertip.
- Apply the blood drop to the test strip.

- Follow the meter’s instructions for proper use and disposal of the test strip.
Side Effects:
- Generally, there are no side effects from using the test strips themselves.
- Possible discomfort or minor pain from the finger prick.
- Rarely, infection at the puncture site if proper hygiene is not maintained
