Huawei Y6s 6.09" 64GB+3GB 13MP DUAL SIM

The Huawei Y6S 2019 comes with a slightly small 6.09-inch IPS LCD screen that has an infinity u teardrop design to house the front-facing camera and help it achieve a 79.2% screen to body ratio. The build is plastic, both frame, and back, with a single camera implementation at the back. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and quite the premium looking polycarbonate shimmering design. Like in most budget devices, we keep the micro-USB connector and the 3.5mm jack.

Performance

The Huawei Y6S 2019 comes with the entry-level Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 chipset, alongside an octa-core 2.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPU and a PowerVR GE8320. This is at best just decent budget level power. This means good everyday use support but once the task starts to get intensive, the phone is bound to struggle. The memory onboard is 3GB for RAM and 32/64GB for mass internal storage, with a dedicated slot for expandable storage. This configuration is sufficient for basic day to day use, in addition to a little gaming and content consumption.

Camera

Camera implementation in the Huawei Y6S is probably the most basic example outside the Y series, with a single 13mp wide primary shooter. We, therefore, do not expect any blazing reviews about it. But as a rule, it performs decently in well-optimized lighting conditions, but once those deteriorate, the camera is not that far behind. This is not a camera-centric unit so the basic standard for this phone is for the photos to be usable and that just about it. The video can shoot 1080p in 30fps. The front-facing camera is a basic 8mp shooter, capable 0f 1080p video in 30fps. You may also like Nokia 3.1.

Battery

The Huawei Y6S 2019 comes with a much smaller 3020 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, which the usage from this device taken into consideration, is enough to power you through the day. Being a budget device, the device does not use too much power, saving more for basic uses like browsing, content consumption, and communication. We expectedly get no fast charging so we rely on standard 10W charging which fills the phone in about 1.5 hours since the battery is much smaller. 

Software

Despite the uncertainty that surrounds the future of Android on Huawei devices, the Huawei Y6S comes with full GMS support, with many of the google apps installed. The EMUI 9.1 operating system is based on Android 9 Pie, with a possible upgrade to Android 10. It’s very intuitive and the animations are fast enough.
