Brand design and Build

The color options on the Oppo A77are are refreshing and intimate, promising more to come. Measuring 163.8 x 75 x 8 mm and weighing 187g, the handset is light and easy to handle in your palm. It is made of an eco-leather back, a plastic body frame, and a glass front (display). In your grasp, you will have a mid-range device with executive, premium finishing for use.

Display

Boasting 6.56 inches of display, I believe you will thoroughly enjoy your multi-media consumption, gaming, browsing, and texting. The 6.65-inch display has an average 720 x 1612 pixels (~269 PPI density) resolution and a decent 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of brightness, the Oppo A77s has a decent score of 480 nits (typ), and 600 nits (HBM), which is average but commendable.

Processing Power.

Oppo A77S runs on Android latest 12 OS, complemented with Oppo’s ColorOS 12.1 User Interface. It is powered by a decent Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G (6 nm), which gets things up and running in the background. The processing unit consists of a fast and commendable Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) CPU, which enables seamless multi-tasking, and Adreno 610, which helps play low to mid-setting mobile games.

Internal Memory Space

The handset packs 8GB RAM and 128GB internal space, which is commendable for Oppo. The memory is sufficient to use the device without worrying about running out of space. To ensure the space does not become a long-term problem. Additional memory space is provided with the microSDXC slot provided.

Camera

The average selfie camera will enable you to capture decent shots and record good videos. It boasts an 8 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide) lens, featuring a panorama option and the ability to shoot 1080p@30fps videos.

The primary camera provides even better performance compared to the selfie camera. It packs a dual camera setup: 50 MP, f/1.8, 27mm (wide), PDAF, and 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth) lenses. The two combine to offer an excellent camera setup to shoot high-quality professional cameras and videos. The LED Flash, HDR, and panorama provide valuable options for a variety of shots in different settings, as the situation demands. The rear cameras are capable of taking 1080p@30fps videos.

Connectivity

Oppo A77s is a 4g-enabled phone. It supports up to 4G networks, using GSM / HSPA / LTE network technology.  The device uses HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE network speeds. It supports Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth pairing. A 3.5mm jack enables handsfree calls and listening to music via wired headphones. USB Type-C port enables charging and fast data transfer through OTG. For convenience during use, Oppo installed Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, compass sensors on the A77s.

Battery

A massive 5,000 non removable battery powers the mid-range priced handset. The massive battery is complemented by a Fast-charging 33W adapter (0-100% of battery charging in 69 minutes).
