Following the set precedence for every Samsung Galaxy S flagship line-up since 2020, the Galaxy S24 Plus is part of the recently launched Galaxy S24 series. It offers almost the exact specifications as the base model but with a slightly larger screen and battery capacity. It sits in the middle between the S24 and S24 Ultra models. The Galaxy S24+ enjoys significant display upgrades, among other features, making it the best option if you care little about the S Pen but would not part with so much cash to acquire the highly-priced Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Body and Design

Samsung Galaxy S24+ is a sleek, modern smartphone with well-rounded edges and a flat frame. The handset supports Nano-SIM and eSIM/ Dual eSIM or Dual SIM (2 Nano-SIMs and eSIM, dual stand-by). Its body build consists of:

At first glance, the Galaxy S24+ looks similar to the Galaxy S23+.  However, on closer inspection, the 2024 model features a flat frame rather than a slightly curved one that is prominent on Galaxy S23+. The display and back panels are flat, and the rear cameras are laid out vertically. IP68 rating for water and dust resistance is a given, but the one key S24 Ultra feature the Galaxy S24+ misses out on is a titanium frame. Galaxy S24+ measures 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7 mm (6.24 x 2.99 x 0.30 in) and weighs 197 grams. For such a massive smartphone, it is pretty slim and sleek. Available colors are Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, Jade Green, Sandstone Orange, and Sapphire Blue.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display has been vastly upgraded. It now has a higher brightness and more pixels. The display panel provides 2,600 nits of peak brightness, and for the first time in the history of the Plus models, the Galaxy S24+ adopts QHD resolution, matching the Ultra variants. At 1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~513 ppi density) resolution, you will undoubtedly have a great time watching videos and consuming content on the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Insightfully, because the Samsung Galaxy S24+ has a 6.7-inch display (110.2 cm2 (~91.6% screen-to-body ratio), which is 0.1-inch smaller than the Ultra’s (6.8 inches, 113.5 cm2 (~88.5% screen-to-body ratio)), it has a considerably higher pixel density.

However, Corning Gorilla Glass Armor is more refined and toughened, adding to the premium price of the S24 Ultra model.
