Design

Just by looking at Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, you wouldn’t be able to see a difference between it and its predecessor. The two have basically the same dimensions with this one coming in a little thicker than before yet 0.8 millimeters thinner than the Galaxy Fold 2 when folded. Samsung was able to reduce the gap between the two halves of the screen when it refined its hinge mechanism. Durability is a greater concern with foldable but Samsung says it used stronger aluminum in the folds frame, streamlined its hinge, and redesigned the layers of the screen to make the device sturdier. This tablet/phone will also survive some droplets of water thanks to its new IPX8 water resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 mins). Foldable display

Samsung used an under-display camera here or UDC that can camouflage beneath pixels. This is an attempt to give you a more immersive full-screen experience. This is great since you won’t have to the little hole that most modern phones have for their selfie sensors. This screen is bright, colorful, and crisp making it a pleasant panel. And with S-Pen support, the Fold 3 screen is more useful for those who like to write notes or sketch diagrams.

The S-Pen is sold separately so bear that in mind. The S-Pen is a generally helpful tool. Samsung applied a new stretchable PET protector on the panel. Altogether the company said the Galaxy Z Fold3’s screen is 80% more durable than its predecessor. The protector completely covers the display. So you won’t see the edges tempting you to peel it off. Outside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, 5G has a 6.2 inch 2268 x 832 display, which now refreshes at 120 Hertz. It also uses a Dynamic AMOLED panel which supports HDR 10 Plus as opposed to previous generations’ Super AMOLED. The faster screen makes scrolling super smooth.

Aside from these upgrades, the Fold 3’s external display is basically the same as its predecessor’s. Which means it has a similarly narrow aspect ratio. So you’ll see fewer of them on the page at once. When you need more room, you can open up the fold to use the 7.6 inches inch Dynamic AMOLED panel inside. Like the outside screen, this also has a 120 Herz refresh rate and runs at 2208 x 1768 pixels.

Performance

Whether using the outside screen or the internal panel, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is mostly snappy/. This is because of its Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) processor and 12GB of RAM. It delivers a smooth performance. You should also have little worry about running out of charge. It generally sticks around for at least a day and a half. Sometimes only conking out after two days. It has an Adreno 660 GPU and an Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU.

Cameras

The fact that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G has five cameras onboard makes it feel excessively an over-achiever.
