Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a Snapdragon 662 chipset. It’s a little bit of an upgrade over the Snapdragon 665. You’ll be greeted by a software update on the first boot. The phone comes running Android 10, MIUI 12 and has an Adreno 610 GPU with either 64GB / 4GB RAM, or 128GB / 4GB RAM of expandable internal storage. Now that is UFS 2.1 – 64GB and UFS 2.2 – 128GB so be advised as you buy.
Let us now talk cameras yes? Xiaomi Redmi 9T has five cameras. Four on the back and a front-facing selfie camera lens within a dewdrop display. The main camera of Redmi 9T is a 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF. The other three are an 8 MP, f/2.2, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm, 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), 1.12µm and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). The camera module has a fresh look and twists to it as you can see in the picture below.
The key highlights of the Redmi 9T’s camera are as follows. 8000 x 6000 ultra-high-resolution, Night mode for sharper photos with exquisite detail and support for 1080p@30fps video recording. Facing you will always be the 8MP f/2.1, 27mm (wide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm selfie camera within a bigger world (the phone’s large display that is).
Let’s go ahead and talk about the display of the Xiaomi Redmi 9T. It has a full HD 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, which is kind of rare at this price range. This display is very decent. with images are very sharp. They’re fluid at 60 Hertz refresh rate. You’re not going to have any problems when it comes to the quality of the display. You’ll definitely enjoy watching YouTube, especially Netflix because this has wide vine level one. It is also important to note that there is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for this display.
If you are on a slim budget but are looking for a phone with a USB Type-C 2.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G network, then Xiaomi Redmi 9T would be a great option, to begin with. The phone also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, GPS with A-GPS, and yes, an Infrared port. NFC (market/region dependent) and n infrared port. a.k.a. IrDA port is a port that enables devices to exchange data without using cables. That 3.5mm jack is also present wherein you can plug the headphone and listen to your favorite content.
Lastly, the battery life on Xiaomi Redmi 9T. So this has a Li-Po 6000 mAh battery capacity, and that is a great deal at this price point. If you’re going to use the Redmi 9T as your daily driver, and you’re not a heavy user, it should last you for a day and a half or two days. You have 18 Watts of fast charging as well as reverse charging 2.5W present here.
So is it the best option that you can get for its price range? I honestly think that it is for the value that it provides. It gives you an expandable memory card, 48-megapixel camera, and the Li-Po 6,000 mAh battery capacity, as well as a headphone jack and infrared blaster.
