Licorice is the plant of ‘Legume’ family, native to Southern Europe and Asia. Botanical name is ‘Glycyrrhiza Glabra’.

Licorice root is a rich source of glycyrrhizin, flavonoid, coumarins and phytoestrogens.

Licorice root is an excellent expectorant, soothes sore throat, improve breathing, supports digestion and Adrenal health, provide relief from dry cough and heartburn.

Licorice root has lubricating, moisturizing properties, which help to soothe dry cough, quench thirst, promote digestion and balance excess acidity in stomach. Licorice also supports adrenal and thus improve body’s reaction to stress.

Licorice root powder can be used as a sweetener and candy flavoring agent. Licorice has synergistic effects with most of the herbal supplements. Add pinch of the licorice powder to your herbal powder to make your supplements more palatable and to increase their effectiveness.

Licorice Root Powder can be used as anti-aging facemask to tighten the skin, to sooth and moisturize it and to reduce blemishes.

For internal consumption: Best way to consume Licorice root powder is as Licorice tea. You can also add pinch of licorice to your other herbal supplements to improve their taste.

For external Use: Use it as soothing, hydrating, antiaging face mask, natural mouth wash, candy flavoring agent.

Suggested Use

2 to 10 gm/day. You can take this in divided doses.
Do not exceed daily intake of Licorice Root powder from recommended amount (Not more than 70gm/day). Excessive consumption of Licorice may result in hypokalemia, increase in blood pressure and muscle weakness.

Note: Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should not consume licorice powder.
