It is silent, that is the main thing I was going for, also it retains charge long enough for me to comfortably use it and not worry. It does go into sleep after a while of being idle. Waking it up with a right or left click actually makes it click so you have to move the mouse not click it, if you want to wake it. The matte finish is also really nice, and it is slim.
