How to repair a clock

Didn't work when we received it. The clock mechanism hadn't been fitted correctly and was loose. The hands were running into each other and stopping. After trying to get it to work for 2 days I stripped it down and reassembled it. Now it works fine but it should never have been shipped in that condition.
