Hey. I bought this item for trial and error…. Little did I know that I was landing on a neurotic gem that I would want to buy again and again. First, it heats and cooks food pretty fast. It has 3-4 modes of heat emissions- from 200 to 2500. At 2500, it only takes 2 minutes to boil half a liter of water. Secondly, it only heats up the place that’s inducted. All the other places don’t get transfer of heat. Even underneath it. Third, it’s small, light and portable. Easy to pack and go camping with it. Fourth, consumes less power. I love it. Will buy more.

NOT an induction!

This is not an induction cooker. Its just a standard electric. Induction cooker works with electromagnetic energy that only heats up when there's a steel pot on it! I dare you to touch it when this thing heats up. It's a shame it's not a real induction, but will do it's job for now.
