When it is not recognized: right click on "My Computer - Properties" - "Hardware" - "Device Manager", then open "IDE ATA/PATA Controller" and then double-click the primary and secondary IDE channels respectively, select "Advanced" Set ", set "Device Type" to "Auto Detect", set "Transfer Mode" to "DMA (if available)" - Check. After rebooting, see if the system finds new hardware.
