The origin of baseball caps can be traced back to the sport of baseball. In 1839, the first ever baseball game was held in Guppas, New York, USA. In 1860, professional baseball players began to emerge in the United States. In 1871, the United States established the National Professional Baseball Athletes Organization; In 1876, the organization was renamed the American Baseball Federation. In 1881, another national professional baseball organization was established, later known as the American Professional Baseball Federation. The first championship match between these two organizations was held in 1884, known as the World Baseball Championship. Afterwards, in 1910, then US President William Howard Taft officially approved baseball as the "national sport" of the United States. As a result, baseball caps became popular in various baseball teams. Baseball was introduced to Japan from the United States in 1873. The Japanese professional baseball team was founded in 1934. Baseball has been played in over 100 countries and regions across the world's five continents. Baseball caps were only popularized around the world, but they were limited to baseball players.
