Description:

Both funnels and frits/sintered disks are made of borosilicate glass

Resistant to strong acid corrosion for it's borosilicate glass feature

of good thickness uniformity and has very smooth, plain surface

Can be used immediately without filter paper

Often used in combination with a Büchner flask to make a vacuum filtration set-up in labs

Pore Size and Application:

G1: 80-120 μm; Filter out coarse particles. Collect or distribute coarse gases

G2: 40-80 μm; Filter out partly coarse particles. Collect or distribute partly coarse gases

G3: 15-40 μm; Filter out mercury and the general crystalline precipitate and impurities in the analysis. Collect or distribute general gases.

G4: 5-15 μm; Filter out fine particle precipitate. Collect or distribute fine gases.

G5: 2-5 μm; Filter out extra fine particle precipitates. Filter out large bacteria.

Note:

Please allow 1-2mm inaccuracy in dimensions due to manual measurement.

It should be filtered with hot hydrochloric acid or chromic sulphuric acid before use for the FIRST TIME, and then rinsed with distilled water to remove any dust impurities that may be present in the filter.

After each use or after a certain period of time, an effective washing treatment must be carried out to prevent the filtration effect from being affected by the clogging of the filter holes by the sediment.

Glass filters are not suitable for the filtration of concentrated hydrofluoric acid, hot concentrated phosphoric acid, hot or cold concentrated lye. Please note that these reagents can dissolve the particles of the filter, causing the pores to expand or the filter to fall apart.
