It uses few external components and a small package.SDLA12TA is specially designed for 12V lead-acid battery charging, with trickle charge, constant current charge, overcharge and float charge modes.In overcharge and float charge modes, the regulation voltage is set internally.The constant charging current can be programmed by a single sense resistor.  Deeply discharged batteries will automatically trickle charge at the set 17.5%Constant charging current until the battery voltage exceeds 75% of the regulated voltageOvercharge mode. Once the charging current drops to 38% of the charging current, the overcharging is terminatedWhen charging with constant current, SDLA12TA will enter the floating charge mode. New charging cycleIf the battery voltage is lower than 83.95% of the overcharge voltage, it will automatically restartFloating charge mode. When the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage, SDLA12TA will automatically enter sleep mode.Other functions include undervoltage lockout and status indication.  Regulated voltage in overvoltage mode and floating charge modeIn the overcharge mode, the regulation voltage VOC of the BAT pin is set to 14.8V (typical value), and the accuracy is ±1.5%.In the floating charge mode, the regulated voltage VFLOAT of the BAT pin is 91.57% of the overcharge mode, which is 13.55V (typical value).Trickle charge mode At the beginning of the charge cycle, if the battery voltage is lower than 75%×VOC, the charger enters trickle charge modeIn charging mode, the charging current is set to about 17.5% of the constant current.  Charging end currentWhen the battery voltage is close to the overcharge voltage, the charger enters the overcharge mode. existIn overcharge mode, the charging current begins to decrease, when the charging current drops to 38% of the constant valueWhen charging current, the charger enters the floating charging mode.  Floating charge modeAfter the overvoltage charging is over, the charger enters the floating charging mode. In the float charge mode,The battery voltage is adjusted to 91.57%×VOC, which is 13.55V (Typical). Floating charge mode can be compensatedLoss of battery power due to self-discharge or external load.  Automatic battery chargingIn floating mode, if both the battery and the input power source (wall adapter) are present, the new charging cycle willIf the battery voltage drops below 83.95%×VOC due to self-discharge or external load, it starts.It is also possible to manually start a new charging cycle by turning off the input power and reapplying it. List:
