Product details

Research has shown that jasmine oil, when used for a massage, can cause major increases in how fast you're breathing, an increase of oxygen in your blood, and a drop in blood pressure levels — all of which are factors that point to an increased arousal of the nervous system. Pretty cool, right?

Jasmine oil is an essential oil derived from the white flowers of the common jasmine plant, also known as Jasminun officinale.  For centuries, jasmine has been popular for its sweet, romantic fragrance and has been used in some of the world's best-known perfumes.

It’s also a common ingredient in alcohol, sweets, and desserts.

Jasmine oil and components of synthetic blends of jasmine essential oil have properties that offer a number of health benefits. Though it’s a popular home remedy used to treat everything from depression to infections, it’s best known as an aphrodisiac.

Jasmine’s romantic scent has long been believed to have an aphrodisiac effect. It’s been worn as a fragrance, and in parts of India, jasmine flowers are often included as décor at weddings in the newlyweds’ bedroom to set the mood for romance.

There is little scientific evidence to back its effects as an aphrodisiac. We do know that inhaling jasmine or using it in aromatherapy massage improves mood and has been reported to increase romantic and positive feelings, as well as energy levels.

These things could, in theory, prime someone for romance and sex. Also, its stimulant effect on brain waves may make a person more alert to sexual cues, possibly increasing blood flow to the penis, according to a small study that looked at the association between odors and sexual response.

If you’re hoping to spice things up in the bedroom with jasmine oil, try dabbing some of the oil on your neck. Your body heat will enhance the scent. You can also add a few drops on bedding, to a warm bath, or to a diffuser in the bedroom.

Essential oils can help to increase libido and enhance performance for both men and women. To use essential oils specifically for romantic situations, you could choose to use them as perfume or cologne to help you and your partner get in the mood. To create a distinctive and appealing scent, blend essential oils together.

Essential oils may also be used in other ways, aside from just for their sexy scent. Adding essential oils to your liquid shower gel can provide you aromatherapy benefits as you get ready for date night. Or you could prepare a romantic massage for your partner using an essential oil blend for romance. If you have a dinner and wine planned, use an essential oils diffuser and diffuse some romantically smelling essential oils in the background to subtly set the mood.

You can use difuse the oil with water, the put in a sprayer/ can to spray bedding or pillows  or even curtains to set the mood, or wear as a perfume on my neck and wrists.

Scents like Jasmine can increase sexual energy and get you both excited for whats about to happen. Scent is powerfully tied to memory so if you always diffuse a certain blend of oils your partner will know when things are going to get frisky.

Using oils topically is another great way to bring them into the bedroom. Make sure to test all oils for skin sensitivity or allergic reactions before using them for romance. Nothing will kill the mood more than finding out you’re sensitive to an oil (be it too hot, too intense, or an actual allergy). If you and your partner have used the oil before then your good to continue. You can make a relaxing and seductive massage oil. Or an inner thigh potion to get yourself or your partner pumped up and ready to go.

Women who have higher scent sensitivity report more orgasms than women who do not. So if you have a good nose, your sex might benefit from using essential oils.

Key Features

Essential oils contain many different properties that aid in increasing sexual desire. Depending on which oils you use, they could:

  • Improve your mood.
  • Restore self-confidence.
  • Relieve stress and anxiety.
  • Clear your mind and help you focus.
  • Relax your mind and body.
  • Give you energy.
  • Help treat other common problems of low libido like high blood pressure.

HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS

  1. Inhaled
  2. Diffuse using a diffuser.
  3. Consider a dry evaporation- Place 2-4 drops of essential oil on a cotton ball or tissue and let it sit in a bowl near you.
  4. Make a bottled spray- Creating a spritz or spray with essential oils can deodorize a room, set a mood or transform a space into an aromatherapy session. Put a total of 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (or a combination of 1-3 essential oils) and one ounce of water into a spray bottle and shake. Spray liberally in your bedroom, bathroom or wherever you desire. You can also mist it lightly on your sheets or pillowcases.
  5. Drop it into a bath water or in your shower gel- While a bathing ritual itself can be a self-soothing treatment, adding essential oils can further benefit you. The important part of this method is using a dispersant in order to properly incorporate the oil into the bathwater. Combine up to 12 drops of your essential oil of choice with one teaspoon of whole milk, vegetable oil or honey and then add to the water just before you step in or into your shower gel.
  6. Apply it to your skin during a self-massage- Your body becomes the diffuser here as it heats up the essential oil and releases its scent into the air. The first step is mixing it with a carrier oil, like grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil. Diluting the essential oil helps avoid an allergic reaction, especially with prolonged use. When combining, use 20 drops of essential oil for every ounce of carrier. If you’d rather use water instead of a carrier oil, be sure to shake the mixture well right before applying it to your skin.
  7. Add it to your body or face lotion- This is another method where the heat of your skin helps diffuse the essential oil, allowing you to inhale its fragrance. Add about 6-15 drops (halve this measurement if you have sensitive skin) of oil to one ounce of unscented body or face lotion and stir thoroughly before applying.
  8. You can also use diluted essential oils to give your partner a massage. Doing so releases the scent of the oil while activating your partner’s muscle systems and boosting their blood flow.

Most essential oils will last up to a year when you store them in a cool, dark place. Toss them if they have lost their odor or turn thick and cloudy.

NOTE: If you are pregnant or have a health condition, check with your doctor before using essential oils. Even though they are natural, they are still potent and should be used with care.

You should never apply essential oils to your genitals, even if diluted with a carrier oil.

Essential oils can cause an allergic reaction in some people. Read labels and avoid oils from plants to which you might be allergic.

Always use a carrier oil to dilute essential oils to avoid irritating your skin. Never apply essential oils near your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, or on your genitals.

If you notice you or your partner are having a reaction to essential oils — such as stinging or red skin — remove the oil immediately with warm water and soap.
